A week after my Thanksgiving trip to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles and San Diego, I am still very much in a holiday mood. That being mentioned, I do actually have loads of work to do. Anyway, we went out on the first Saturday night in Vegas since it was Sarah Lammens 21st birthday. While the girls paid 2o bucks to get in, the guys paid 50 bucks. This is ridiculously expensive. I felt really sorry for the guys for having to pay that much. Drinks in the club were not cheap either. One drink costs like 12 bucks. The club was way much nicer than those in Ames, nonetheless I still do not fancy clubbing.

Grand Canyon was freezing cold. It snowed for days before we arrived, so it was rather snowy over there. It was slippery as well that I slipped and fell despite wearing track shoes. Thanks goodness it was not at the Canyon but on the pavement by the road outside our hotel. The following morning I became an ice-scrapper. An interesting experience, but not that I would really fancy doing again even though it was quite fun.

At Los Angeles, Beverly Hills was the portion that I remembered most. It is where the ultra rich, wealthy, famous people and celebrities live. There were countless of huge and beautiful homes, and a number of them were really secluded that we can hardly see the front of the house. We saw Michael Jackson's house as well. People got out of their vehicles to take the house and his photo on the ground just outside his house. When we saw the bus tour that drives people around to see the houses of the famous people and celebrities, we followed really closely behind them with the windows wind down, attempting to hear whose house were we passing by. It was quite a failure.

In addition, we went to the six flags in LA. The first ride caused me to lose my sunglasses unknowingly. I guessed I was preoccupied with the drop so much that I seriously have no idea when and how did my sunglasses flew off my head.

San Diego was not that much of a fun, probably because I have been there before.

Yesterday (Sat 12/04) was Zainab's and Michelle's dance performance. I think that they were really cool and awesome. I will be posting pictures and videos up soon. Later in the night, the international students went out to celebrate Manuel's birthday (which was today). Honestly, I have no intention of going out at all, but Sarah Hedberg did not want to walk to her Sorority house alone as she feels that it was unsafe and way too cold. I ended up waling her to her house and then meet up with the rest at on of the bars. It was great fun! One thing I like about the bars here is that they have free popcorn and hotdog (self-service). I guess I was really interested in the popcorn since I kept eating them..haha =D

P.S. apologies for any grammatical or sentence structure errors as I do not really want to go through what have I just wrote..
