It was fun teaching her, ok to be exact, to laugh at her attempts to pronounce those words. Nonetheless, she can speak 5 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and she learnt Japanese for 2 years. She's half-British, half-French.
After dinner, we went to watch a Harry Potter look-alike poster movie, i.e. Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. The movie can be summed up in one word, crap. However, it is not too bad watching such a movie at times. A light-hearted movie. A prelude to New Year.

Sunday (14th Feb):
First day of the lunar new year. I slept at 3+am because I came home late and was 拜年ing with my parents via Skype (cool right?). And guess what? I woke up at 9+pm. Amazing isn't it? For the first time I can survive with just 6hrs of sleep. I had Pistachio and Almond cookies from Marks and Spencer, as well as two large bowls of Beancurd Sheet, Pearl Barley and Gingko Nut Soup (Bakgo Yimai Fuchok). It was great and I felt so full later on. This coupled with the lack of sleep meant that sleepiness start to set in. For dinner, I had Dried Scallop Rice, Drunken Prawns and Bak Choy. Oh my gosh! This is just fabulous (i think that by now, you should be able to sense my sense of self-praising..oops..)!!! Dessert was tangerine. Day 1 of Lunar New Year is complete with sumptuous food, laid-back attitude, CNY songs, bai nian, Skype, CNY greetings and wishes, etc... ^_^Saturday (13th Feb):
New Year Eve. An absolutely busy day for me. I got up at 8+am and head to the gym (albeit reluctantly) for a quick jog. After that,I had to rush back before 11am as there will be people over to view the house. When they have left, I had my brunch and skype before heading to aimi's place for laundry washing purposes (spring cleaning in progress). After dumping (definitely a wrong usage of word..to put it nicely, it will be 'leaving') my clothes there, I head to the city centre to buy foodstuff. I spent lots of money there as I had intentions to whip up something nice on the first day of new year. While waiting for the train back to University, I FINALLY GOT THROUGH YINFOONG to wish her happy birthday. This is after countless attempts in the day to reach her. When I was home, I sort out my groceries before heading to aimi's place again to collect my clothes. Subsequently, I did my last ditch attempt at spring cleaning, and that is to vacuum my room's carpet (my room is now set and done). After which, I went to meet Ai Lin and Biaoming at Sainsbury before going to Timothy's house together. There were 14 people present for the reunion dinner. There were loads of delicious food and I had great company. Almost everyone there were from Taylor's college twinning programme. There were people from Chem Eng, Civil Eng and Mech Eng (with the exception of one who was although from Taylor's, but is currently reading Law at Readings). The people were nice, fun and hilarious. Oh and before I forget, we had bak kwa, peanut cookies and tapioca crackers too. The main is we had hong bao as well!!! It was from one of the Malaysian guy's parents. They had sent those new year goodies and red packets over, and asked him to distribute the red packets. So nice of them isn't it? We watched one of Stephen Chow's movies. What's new year without one of his hilarious and witty movies isn't it? The one that we watched was 'A Chinese Odyssey, 大話西遊'. I was having as awesome time laughing and watching simultaneously. When we chatted, the Malaysian guys were so funny till the extent that Ai Lin and I were having stomachache from over-laughter. It was one of the girl's (Vivien) birthday as well. So we sort of make her cut the cake and slice the cake, and on the pretense of feeding her since it's her birthday, it was smash on her face instead. heehee =) The cake was WAY TOO SWEET!!!And to be honest, it tasted like Milo. It has been AGES since I had Milo. I do not even think that I had Milo when I went back to Singapore. So while we were watching our second round of movie, the guys played poker with chips (which they eventually cash in). At about 1+/2 am, we cabbed back. It was indeed fantastic new year's eve!!!Friday (12th Feb):
New Year's Pre-eve. We had a Sinsoc dinner at Pad Thai . It was supposedly an 18-dish course (you should be able to grasp the meaning of this statement). And although we had lobster, I had none of it as it either disappeared too fast (leaving the shells), or that I am slow. I saw kang kong, but sadly I did not manage to have it as well. The dinner was so-so, nothing can compare to the one at Da Zhong (in Kota Tinggi, Johor Bahru). Oh and I was teaching my UK friend, Nathalie, to speak Chinese. The result is:幼稚 (childish) = you're shit
是 (yes) = shit/ she
